I appreciate the creativity that go into baby showers, it’s such fun to bring an idea to life. For this invitation, I was asked to use woodland creatures and plaid. After working on a few designs, this one ended up being chosen. I’m really happy with how it turned out, so maybe it will end up in my Etsy shop soon?

A good friend of mine is due with her first baby, so I was excited to get to throw a baby shower for her and her husband. She requested a classic Winnie the Pooh theme, which was fun to put a unique spin on for this special event. I focused on putting together a lot of little touches throughout the space and it was fun to put all the ideas together.
Photos from the event were kindly provided by Dorothy Tam, thanks so much!

After such a great maternity photoshoot with Turquoise and Brandon, they asked me to design some cards for them. First, baby announcement cards went into the mail, followed by and invitation to a baby shower. Both were fun items to work on and had such different ideas behind them.

Another fun set of invitations for a baby shower and, as always, I was excited to work on the project. The theme for this one was Disney’s Peter Pan, but the desire was that the theme would be a little more on the subtle side and be a little more elegant. We celebrated the mama-to-be last weekend, so now I get to share the invitations that went out!

This couple are big football fans and have a due date very close to the Super Bowl, so a co-ed football themed shower was a great choice for them. I had a lot of fun designing a whole new set of items for this theme and definitely ran with the ball – ha! There wasn’t one team to be rooting for, so I went with bright colors and lots of greens for the playing field itself.

I really enjoy how unique each and every baby shower is, based on the guests of honor and theme ideas. This one was so much fun, using the baby’s nursery colors and “favorite” animal as the shower theme. The colors palette was soft pink, coral, gold and mint green, paired with flamingos for the design element. Such a fun event to celebrate this coming baby!
Baby Shower Invitation & Decor: Mary Poppins

My friend’s absolute favorite Disney movie is Mary Poppins, so she was excited to have this theme for her baby shower. And I was definitely happy to make the invitations and decorations for the special event. Instead of focusing on one part of the movie, I decided to include most of the popular elements, rather than focusing on a single idea. She also enjoys tea, so having a quasi-tea party also tied into the Mary Poppins theme really well. Congratulations on the little boy joining your family!

Another wedding full of personalized items! So glad to have these projects come my way and add some custom pieces to such an exciting day. Congratulations to the Hajdukovics!
A very unique seating chart – each table was designated a different board game, since it’s one of the couple’s favorite pastimes.
Keeping board games in play (ha, see what I did there?), their guestbook was pieces of the Jenga game that guests personalized.
Wedding Decor: the Grohs

Wedding decorations are always fun, because each couple has different ideas about what touches they want to include at their wedding. For this wedding, there were a bunch of signs to make and a very unique piece shown at the end. I also got to bring out some different skill sets to put all these elements together. Congratulations to the Grohs!
This was the most interesting piece to me – a quilt block. The couple decided to have guests sign a piece of fabric, later to be made into a keepsake quilt, rather than a traditional guest book. I was asked to paint a rose in their wedding colors that would be the centerpiece of the entire quilt, which I was definitely happy to do.
