Personal: Project 365

Project 365 seems to be a right of passage for many photographers, both amateur and professional. It is the challenge of one photo a day for a full year. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.

This was my take on it, worked on from January 11, 2009 – January 10, 2010. The collection here are my favorite pictures pulled from throughout the project, some at the early stages and some towards the end. Some of the shots were just plain luck, but many of them came from growth & constant practice. I took on this project to force myself to practice, to get to know my new (at the time) digital camera and to then push the camera’s boundaries (and my own). Each of these pictures has a story to it, sometimes readily evident and other times very personal.

And there’s no question about it, I would definitely take on this project again.
